This role presents an ideal opportunity for a bright and confident individual looking to carve themselves a career in IT sales within a rapidly expanding, surrey based IT consultancy.
It can often be difficult to get into IT sales as many companies insist on previous experience of the IT industry, whilst it would be beneficial to have some kind of experience, we do not consider it essential for this role. You will however need to be computer literate to a basic level, i.e. can use Word, Excel and Outlook.
Candidates that excel in this position will see a good career progression, rapidly advancing from a telesales role into an internal account manager position.
Commission will be paid on qualified appointments made, other targets and rewards will also be set.
Working as part of the internal Sales Team, and reporting to both the Marketing Director and Sales Director you will be required to make a high volume of outbound sales calls with a view to successfully generating new business sales leads.
- Data Qualification
- Calling IT decision makers in corporate and SME accounts
- Introduce the Skye Group and send out literature to new accounts
- Follow-up Marketing Campaigns
- Confirming attendees for seminars and events
- Maintaining and updating database records
- Schedule & manage follow-up calls
- Scheduling appointments for your external sales team.
- Undertaking training as necessary
The ideal candidate will be confident, personable and hungry for success.
You must:
- Have an friendly and confident telephone manner
- Be computer literate (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Willing to learn
- Be able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Have the ability to work under your own initiative
- Be proactive, and results orientated
- Be able to work as part of a small, but competitive telesales team
Hours of work are Monday to Friday - 09:00 – 18:00.
